NASCAR Championship Race Update: Lap 145
Denny Hamlin built another big lead in Stage 2 with about 40 laps remaining.Ryan Blaney, the 2023 champion, has just passed Kyle Larson for second and is running about 2.6 seconds behind Hamlin.Larson is third and William Byrne is fourth.Chase Briscoe, the final championship contender, is in 21st position.

Chase Briscoe had to pit on pit road with a right rear tire on lap 106, but was fortunate that a caution flag came out moments earlier as Shane van Gisbergen spun.
Briscoe ran fifth in the time, passing Caron Hocevar a few seconds earlier.His team managed to keep him on their lap, but he finished 32nd.
The other cars leading the lap took pit road under caution for fuel and tires after Briscoe.Denny Hamlin maintained his lead, with Kyle Larson second, William Byron third and Ryan Blaney fourth.
NASCAR Championship Race: LAP 100 Update
Denny Hamlin took the lead on resuming Lap 80 and extended his guidance over Kyle Larson to 3 seconds through 40 laps in the second 125-LAP.
William Byron is in third place, and three of the four contenders for the title are in the top three. Ryan Blaney came in fourth, while the last challenger, Chase Briscoe, moved up to fifth.
NASCAR Championship Race Update: Stage 2 Begins
Ryan Blaney led the race on the pit lane at the end of the first stage, ahead of William Byron, who restarted in second but lost his place to Denny Hamlin.Kyle Larson is fourth and Chase Briscoe is up four spots on pit lane and is sixth behind Caron Hocevar.
The caution flag came out after three laps when John Hanger Namchek spun on the track after contact with his rear end.
