The Daily: Cossa earns 4th shutout as Griffins continue to run;Pradel Sharp wins in Slovakia

The Grand Rapids Griffins' incredible journey continued Saturday as Sebastian Kos' fourth shutout of the season led them to a 3-0 win over Milwaukee for their 26th win in 28 games.

This is the best start for an AHL team in the league's 90-year history.

Cossa made 26 saves to help the Griffins win their 15th straight, the sixth-longest streak in AHL history.Coach Dan Watson earned his 100th win for the Griffins.

The Griffins are without injured forwards Amadeus Lombardi and Carter Mazur and defenseman Shai Buiam.They lost John Leonard and Nate Danielson to the Red Wings.Nothing seems to faze them as they continue to win.

Veteran Eric Gustafson has a goal and an assist for 10 points in six games.Sheldon Dries has a goal and an assist.He has eight points in his last four games.Ondrej Becher has his 13th assist.An assist from Michael Brandsegg-Nygard gives him 19 points in 23 games.
