Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby left the team's facility for the final two games of the regular season due to a disagreement over his player status.
Pete Carroll confirmed the news after Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported:
"He said, 'I want to get out of here,' and I said, 'Get out of here,' and he left," Carroll said via video from Vegas Sports Today, later adding, "That's what you think, and he's right, and I agree 1,000 percent with his answer."

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport added further insight, citing the team's concerns about Crosby's knee injury, which has sidelined him since October. But it's clear Crosby wants to be on the field.
The 2-13 Raiders finish the 2025 season with a two-game homestand against the New York Giants on Sunday followed by the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 4.
The Raiders are in prime position for the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft and will get it if they lose their final two games.Their biggest competition for that pick is the Giants, who also have a 2-13 record.Obviously, a loss in that final game would have gone a long way toward landing the coveted pick.
Crosby is a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time Second Team All-Pro.He has accumulated 69.5 sacks in 110 career games.Despite playing through the injury, Crosby collected 10 sacks in 15 games.Additionally, the former Eastern Michigan star has 73 tackles and 20 tackles.
Needless to say, the Raider defense took a massive hit without Crosby.In fact, he was responsible for 38.5 percent of Las Vegas' 26 total sacks and 32.8 percent of the Raiders' 61 quarterback hits.
Also, according to Glazer's report, it's clear that Crosby is crazy.Crosby is a player who just wants to play and, understandably, win.
"Yeah, I don't care about the decision," Crosby said Tuesday, per ESPN's Ryan McFadden."I don't play for that."
So Crosby's reaction to being benched is not surprising.
As for his contract status, Crosby recently signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension through 2029.
Las Vegas' offense is also last in scoring and will already be without star tight end Brock Bowers, who was recently placed on injured reserve.Bowers, who had 64 catches for 680 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games, has been nursing a knee injury since Week 1 that forced him to miss the previous three games.
Sunday's match will be played at 4:05 pm.ET at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
