Will the Bills fix their boss?Is Colts QB Daniel Jones regressing?Do the Packers and Lions have hidden concerns and could they trade?
Week 9 shuffles the top of the NFL deck as we begin to confidently pick a true Super Bowl contender.
Four of the five Football Power Index (FPI) favorites to win this title lost on Sunday. The only top-five team to make it through the weekend unscathed is the Eagles, who have a bye. And after Sunday's string of upsets, each team has a record minimum of two losses heading into week 9. This has only happened once in the last 35 years, in 2010. A season in which the eventual Super Bowl Champion Packers finished the regular season as the NFC's sixth seed.

I will smash the four Super Bowl Contenders - The Chikos, Packers and Lions - WHICH LOST WORK 9, օգոստոս 9: happened and whether it is anything to be concerned?Records around the league indicate?
Let's start with the last matchup between the AFC classes, where the Bills served as subs to the Chiefs during the regular season all year (I included the FPI odds for each team to win the Super Bowl before and after their Week 9 loss).
Chiefs |Colts |Packers |A lion
Kansas City Chiefs
Week 9 Results: We lost to Buffalo Bills 28-21.
Odds of winning the Super Bowl before Week 9: 15.2%
Chances of winning the Super Bowl after Week 9: 11.1%
It became a running gag. After tying the best one-point game record we've seen in a single season in 2024, the Chiefs have now lost all four of their games decided by seven points or less this season.Sunday's 28-21 loss to the Bills wasn't as clean as the final score indicated, but after Buffalo's Matt Prater kicked a 52-yard field goal to keep the game alive, you could feel the panic and fatalism of what was sure to happen next on television.Twenty-two seconds and no time-time?For Patrick Mahomes?Maybe start preparing for overtime now.
Instead, the Bills quickly wrapped up their fifth regular-season win over Mahomes and the Chiefs in six tries, bringing him down twice on the final three pass attempts of the game. The story was the pressure and what it did to Mahomes, who had a sub-50% completion percentage in a game for the first time as a professional quarterback, going just 15-of-34 for 250 yards without passing.touchdowns and an interception. After years of averaging the shortest passing distance or something close to it, Mahomes' average throw on Sunday traveled more than 14 yards in the air, the deepest average throw distance of his career.
The Bills pressured Mahomes on more than 52 percent of his passes, according to NFL Next Generation Stats, the fifth-highest pressure percentage Mahomes has faced in his storied career. On Sunday, he went 3-of-16 for 61 yards and a touchdown under pressure, throwing all three completions to Travis Kelce, who Mahomes still trusts most when in trouble.Sean McDermott and the Bills created all that pressure despite rushing Mahomes just three times all day.
But that was Brandon Beane's game. The Bulls' general manager was criticized by home fans this season in October for failing to add Josh Allen this spring and summer without Buffalo's only top player injured and missing Joshua Palmer.I ranked the Bulls 28th in my player rankings this year, concerned that Buffalo doesn't have a WR that can get away from man coverage.Or in situations where the Bills need a big play. It's basically "against elders" code.
Beane instead of sending the money to Russ's team, believed that it would be a way to compete with the leaders and slow down Mahomes. In addition to throwing out Greg Rousseau, the bill signed by Joey Bosa to replace von Miller and add Michael Hoelt and Larry Ogunjobi (although the first player) violates the peda policy. The schedule hasn't been finalized yet, but Beane's plan isn't too difficult for Fathom: win at the top, and take as many shots at Mahomes as possible.
This line worked, even without DaQuan Jones and Ed Oliver in the lineup to defend. The Bills have looked noticeably better defensively over the past two weeks when Hoecht and Ogunjobi have been active, although the Bills reported after the game that Hoecht had torn his Achilles in the second half, an injury that would end his season.
To be fair, this is not a reality like the Eagles against Askek in the Super Bowl, where the Philadelphia Stars gained energy and hope.Bill, who sometimes won one time on the retreat due to his quick pressing, but most of them pressed after 2.5 seconds. In the past, that amount of time was enough for Mahomes to find a shortstop and stay on schedule. But when Héssy Best's boss Wakula Upusus is playing, the time it takes to complete an existing routine requires a little extra time.
The MCERMOT game system requires a little creativity. The rules created a lot of pressure on the three-man run as the guards struggled to fight "hungry Lou Anarumo" and the Chiefs during the 2021 season, but there it was.
They scouted Mahomes on many of those snaps, too, but instead of simply picking a scout and placing him in an obvious spot directly over the middle, McDermott found a way to hide the scout's identity. There were snaps where he had the scout down the line, initially running and then dropping, while a second-level linebacker took his place on the pass rush. And when Mahomes got into the action, the Bills did a great job of blocking him.and force an incompletion or hit him;the MVP candidate finished with just one carry for 5 yards, a far cry from the numbers he posted as a scrambler earlier this season.
To top it off, Buffalo needs to tie the knot as it's a quick trip home.We thought of a great team that was very strong and Rasue rice and Xavier fell in line, the bill connected them to the back. Both players are important to McDermott. One, terrible, struggles to protect Coshop bishop, who had his best game as a pro.Four and increase the flow that gives it instead of you going to qualify. He also scored one of the two two-meter attempts that ended the game.
Another player is Rookie Roadback Maxwell Bookwell Bookstwlon, but last week, the Bills spent time on 9-50 turnovers, with the Whites having 50-50 turnovers, hair to run the rice, especially the rice, especially in coverage. First Rounder Mahomes picks up the deep ball and puts it for 18 yards on 16 coverages.
For the princes, there will be pressure on the offensive line, which is the weak link in their sour losses to the boccaneers and eagles. That's a problem that needs to be addressed after GM Bert Vay's toughest interior in history of all time and Josh Simmons' all-around.
Sunday was not enough.Simmons is out with the team dealing with a personal issue, and Moore allowed one sack and seven hits in his place.Smith is less than 100 percent in his return from a back injury, and the Bills treated the star quarterback with unusual ease on a couple of early snaps.Right tackle Jawan Taylor allowed a team-high eight snaps before leaving the game with an ankle injury on a conversion against 2024 left tackle Vanya Morris, who allowed four more snaps with just 10 pass blocks, including one by Bosa on an interception by Hairston.
Josh Allen connected with Dalton Kincaid to give the Bills an early lead over the Chiefs.
Without Jesse Basako, who has been ruled out due to a knee injury, Rid seems to want to burden Kareem and would no longer have seen Siashard Smith or Clyde Edwards-Helaire as an emergency option.
It was clear that Reid didn't really trust his running game — or perhaps his offensive line — late in the first half. After Hollywood's Christian Benford recovered a fumble for a 47-yard gain, the Chiefs reached the 1-yard line with 20 seconds left in the half.Reid ran to first base, but Jordan Phillips passed Taylor and put the game away.leaders.After two wins, before the fourth and goal from the 1-yard line with 6 seconds left, it was 11 points.
This is quite obviously the obvious situation for him.Unless KC really felt strongly that the stop would energize the Bills for 15 minutes before heading to the locker room (without acknowledging that a touchdown might have had the same effect on the Chiefs) or had supernatural knowledge of how the rest of the game would play out, it's a simple math equation.
You get three points with a field goal or seven with a touchdown.Disregarding the potential of a blocked field goal or a penalty and an untimed down to ease the calculations, the break-even rate is 43%.If you're going to have a chance to convert 43% of the time or more in this spot, you'd better go for the touchdown than the kick. The league average conversion rate on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line over the last five years, excluding sneaks Reid refuses to run with Mahomes, is 54% ... you can decide for yourself if the Chiefs are at least a league-average offense.Harrison Butker kicked the 19-yard field goal.
The NFL is more than the next "napkin" math, the next generation model of the NFL, which begins that the decision to put yards before yards has a probability of 7.5 wins. It's kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision, usually in recent years, and also with Muhammad, watching the league go.Did he talk to the first things?Did he not trust his line?Did he want to go in eight minutes?
Whatever the Reds decided, it didn't help the Chiefs much. They had to try a fourth-and-18 later in the game, which miraculously changed when the line was so slow that Bosa drew guard to prevent him from stopping with a free pass to Mahomes and looked around a screen that wasn't there. They capped the drive with Hunt's 2-yard touchdown and seven points later. We converted a 2-pointer to inbound, a play that could have been part of the discussion if the Chiefs had tried a fourth-and-1 late in the first half.It was a huge tactical error, and while the Chiefs have the margin of error to overcome them against lesser competition, they didn't do so against the Bills on Sunday night.
Kareem sprinted into the end zone to close the Chiefs' deficit against the Bills.
The Chiefs' defense also struggled with the changing schemes of the Bills' offense.Last season, when these two teams played, the Bills tended to play shotgun or pistol with about two-thirds of their offensive snaps, which is in line with their seasonal pace. There's nothing wrong with doing that, especially since Allen and the quarterbacks he threatens as part of the running game are out of the picture. This also creates slightly easier routes for the quarterback to make tackles, limits some of the running game concepts they can run, and makes it easier to diagnose plays on the quarterback.
The league as a whole has changed quite a bit with going down under centers, but among teams with the same coordinators and quarterbacks, no one has done more than the Bills, going under their offensive centers this season. On Sunday, they were under center about 58% of the time, and Allen's offense was successful on 62% of those snaps. That was up from 44% without a gun.
The Chiefs don't yet have an answer for a team that can pass under center.Steve Spagnuolo's defense is fourth in the league in EPA per play against rifle or pistol shooting, but drops to 31st when the team is under center. The easiest way for the Chiefs to overcome this would be to take an early lead, make the other team one-dimensional with their passing game, and force them to work in the shotgun, but that wasn't the case against the Bills.
Instead, James Cook III ran for 114 yards and 27 carries.Allen 6-offs 65 and 85 yards throws under the middle, including the big end and the second strong in dawson klox and jackson.Primate Ike A Galton Kalcaid caught 71 yards, running from Drue True and Nick Bolton in coverage.and under under they will do it and chance.Allen has only one full game (another sack, a stretch and a knee down), but he went for 16 yards in the third.
The bosses have to provide new answers about the events that happened before our eyes in January.Hopefully their offensive line is healthy, so focus on the blocking line right now, do what you have to do to get some action, make some action, make some apologies.Nothing can disappear as evidence that the bills won after the incident of the last few years, but for all these commanders go to rice and strings It was a sign that all deservedly did not sink.
Week 9 Results: Lost 27-20 to Pittsburgh Steelers
Chance to win Super Bowl before 9: 13.0%
Super Bow Super atdds after 9 weeks: 10.1%
Two days after Halloween, you might not have been shocked to see Daniel Jones transform into a familiar pumpkin.
After playing at an MVP level through the first two months of the season for the most surprising team in the league, Jones had one of his worst games as a pro on Sunday.Against a Steelers defense that has struggled to stop anyone all season, Jones accounted for five of Indianapolis' six turnovers in Pittsburgh, throwing three interceptions and losing two touchdowns. He ended up throwing for 342 yards, but it took him a whopping 50 passing attempts to get there, as the Steelers also sacked him five times.
Joey Porter Jr.makes a great play for the Steelers and picks off Daniel Jones in the fourth quarter.
Is this too simplistic an explanation for the loss?Yes.The game actually started well for the Colts as Jones hit Alec Pierce for a couple of long completions and Indy converted a pair of fourth downs with Jones gaining 1 yard on second down. After that, the Steelers ended up with a three-and-out, and while Josh Downs fumbled the punt return, the Colts held on and got the ball back.Indy then put together a 17-play drive, including a fourth-and-1 fake punt for a first down.
What seems to be a game The chefs controlled the search and quickly became confused because of the turn.T.J.Watt gets down to Braden Smith to meet Jones and get the ball back. After the Steolers' touchdown on the drive, Jones tried to work both sides of the field and didn't see Payton Wilking. The steacklers quickly buried a short field, and when Jones popped up it was what should have been 42-Yariapopolis on another three-and-out drive.
When they got the ball again, the Steelers smelled blood.Jones converted a fourth-and-1, but Alex Highsmith and Joey Porter Jr.they sacked him on consecutive plays to force another punt.Jones converted another fourth-down on the next drive, but tried to throw a quick screen to his slot receiver on second-and-1, and Wilson lofted the pass into the air.Unfortunately, Jack Sawyer intercepted it.The Steelers scored a touchdown on that drive to go up 24–7, and it turned the Colts into a one-dimensional offense the rest of the way.
More than anything else, if you're looking for a reason why Jones struggled so much, I'd point to the play of the game and the lack of play. Before Sunday, Jones had thrown just 27.3 percent of his completions, the second-lowest percentage in the league behind Sam Darnold, another quarterback who benefits from being in favorable game situations.Jonathan Taylor, play-action, RPO game and to rely on the threat of the run to create conflict for the defense. Those issues prevented opponents from getting exotic looks at Jones and limited his ability to rush the quarterback. And to his credit, Jones has done a good job of running the offense by getting the ball out quickly and knocking down throws, which have been problems with the Giants.
Held back for several days, Jones was stuck in a clear lack of speed against Pittsburgh's Pass rush. The steelers did a good job of limiting Taylor's burst and held him to 45 yards on 14 carries. They let Jones through on the move, as he failed to attempt a pass from the pocket. And with game-making more of the picture, the game continues.Jones has to win the pocket magnet as a pass rusher, where the kids the Colts don't want to run him.
Regardless, the Colts defense should be applauded for keeping the team in the competition. The Steelers didn't score on that short field after the muffed punt, but they did score touchdowns on two drives starting from their own 44-yard line and the other from the Indianapolis 14-yard line. They added a field goal on the opening possession from the Indy 34-yard line and lost a fumble on another drive that started in Colts territory. The Steelers' average possession Sunday was this: It started with just 53 yards for a touchdown, the team's second-best starting position in a game this season.
Steelers fans (and players) who have heard their defense derided in recent weeks will have proof that even a frustrating unit turns things around. It was the best game of the season for a Steelers rookie. While Highsmith put 10 Pittsburgh pressures on Jones in the absence of DeShon Elliott (knee), the Steelers inserted newly acquired safety Kyle Dugger into the lineup. While the former Patriot played 72 of 74 snaps, Jaylen Ramsey moved from cornerback to full-time free safety and replaced Juan Thornhill on the bench. And the Steelers didn't allow a single completion.on a 20-yard toss in the air.
At the same time, it would still be good to note that this security is an either-or-or-or.Tomlin's team is striking out at the second-highest rate in the league, which is great, but the 25-year-old still allows a walk every season.Speakers who will not recover three of the four things that they can, or have seven face-to-face passes per week, and it remains if they have to defend themselves during the game where it does not happen.
And while I mentioned a vegetable at the beginning of this split, I don't think that proves that the Raiders and The Colts will split. It might be fairer to note that this represents the limits of what the Colts can ask Jones to do and what he can carry. On that day, the Colts can't run the ball properly and their O-Line is dominant, making magic impossible in the way MVPs are.
The Colts have one of their seven wins and two losses. They can survive two or three turnovers in a game, let alone sixty.
Green green package
Week 9 result: Carolina lost to the Panthers 16-13
Odds of winning the Super Bowl before Week 9: 11.0%
Chance of winning the Super Bowl after week 9: 6.1%
Has it never been easier for packages? After beating the Lions and Chiefs to start the season, Matt Lafley's team lost to the Browns at home and lost a tie with the Cowboys.Week 8 brought a comprehensive win from the Bowlers and Jordan in a series of love runs, and the Panthers came to town, and the Packers hope the Packers can make it four games before the game."Monday Night Football" vs. the hunks next week.
Well, the Panthers are clearly the Miguel Rojas of the Eagles' Shahi Ohtani.I'm not sure trap games are more than some selection bias, and the Packers showed us the ability to lay eggs without an important game to look forward to next week, but I don't blame anyone for interpreting Sunday's loss as a game everyone expected to win against one lesser opponent in the NFC.Beat a .500 Panthers team at home and you're going to attract those kinds of headlines. But actually, I'd say it was a more impressive performance by the Panthers and a lot more bad luck for the Packers than this story suggests.
Dave Canales and Carolina deserve credit for what they did to win this game.Canales made a tough decision after last week, essentially removing Chuba Hubbard from a 50-50 runningback rotation to give Rico Dowdle the starting role, even though the organization paid Hubbard far more for an extension last winter than it paid Dowdle for his one-year deal this spring.Dowdle was the more productive player and led the Packers in rushing for 130 yards.on 25 carries.According to Next Gen Stats, he generated 44 yards above expectations (RYOE), bringing his season total to 172, third in the league behind Cook and Taylor.
Canales also made an important decision early in the match that yielded results later. The Panthers went into the match with the idea that it would allow them to choose which goals to defend in the second half. The wind was blowing up to 30 mph at Lambeau Field and that made a big difference when Ryan Fitzgerald's game-winning shot came with the wind behind the rookie in the fourth quarter.
Obviously, the Panthers didn't know they were in position to score on the last field goal, but they did a good job using the play as a big offense. They had a pair of fourth-and-1s, despite one of the penalties being called on a fourth-and-1 situation in the fourth quarter.
The Panthers relied on the run and played the game at a snail's pace, as it took an average of 42.5 seconds between kickoffs and kickoffs, the fourth-lowest rate of any team in Week 9. With the Packers managing long drives on offense, both teams were limited to just seven carries per game, the fewest plays. dominant teamhe must exploit his advantages.
Jordan Love tries to fondue Christian Watson but is picked off by Tre'von Moehrig.
It also creates an opportunity for variation to play a key role in deciding the outcome, and the Panthers certainly have some rest. They bounced off two men in the match, including a William Williams save in the red zone that completed the green open drive. This saved a short bouquet of red bouquet food, but two young children played later to complete the drive.Discarded the messy interception in the end zone.Brandon McMANUS missed a 43-yard field goal, opening the air behind him in the third quarter, but Fitzgerald hit his own one day.A small, meaningful remnant in a seven-point game was achieved by three points over Bengal 47-42, with both teams exchanging points at will.
Although it is not reflected in the final score, the Packers moved the ball effectively throughout the game.Webee reemed.an sure of the passed zone in red zone in red zone, the Packers failed to score only two of their 30 trips inside the 20-yard line.
So naturally, they failed to score twice in five attempts, converting one field goal and two field goals.Williams lost a pass to end the drive scoreless. In one, Woods throws a screen for a good third-and-3 look, but Malik Malik Heath.Derrick brown then breathes fourth and 8 by Jordan Morching after throwing the football, miraculously throwing away the panthers possession.
Is it bad luck or foul play?A little of both, of course. It's up to the Packers to ban screens.Morgan ran past Tershawn Wharton for a sack that put the Packers back in the red zone and eventually led to a field goal.Tight end Tucker Craft trailed when he took the ball on another snap, and when Love emerged from a relatively clean pocket, he had nowhere to go with the football. In most cases, if the Packers get to the red zone on more than 70% of their possessions and allow 16 points on defense, they will win. This did not happen here.
Injuries on the offensive side of the ball are starting to become a concern for LaFleur as well. The Packers only have Christian Watson (knee) back, but they already have wide receiver Jayden Reed (clavicle/foot) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf).First-round WR Matthew Golden left the game early in the third quarter and did not return, so Heath was on the field for 27 snaps.Guard Aaron Banks was on the field after only nine snaps.played, the play came out in bold, the third time this season that a free agent is also expelled from a game.
The biggest, of course, is the torn ACL suffered by Kraft.A week after he set off a national party in a win over the Steelers, the Packers appear to have lost their stellar season. In addition to Kraft's ability to lose after the catch, his injury limits what the Packers can do.Heading into the 2024 season, the Packers have 12 personnel (1 RB, 2 TE, 2 WRs) tied for the sixth most in the league.Unless they're going to build around Luke Musgrove and John Fitzpatrick (or add someone like David Njoku before Tuesday's trade deadline), that will change. This would require 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WRs) to move the offense forward.
Ryan Fitzgerald's 49-Yard Backor field goal gave the Panthers a 16-13 win over the Packers.
It's certainly a frustrating time to be a Packers fan, but I remember the team I mentioned in the intro. The 2010 Packers were 8-6 in mid-December and three of their losses were to teams that finished with seven wins or fewer, including a team led by the Eagles' Donovan McNabb, Chad Henne and Drew Stanton.Aaron Rodgers had shown great promise, but halfway through his third year as a starter, he was 8-15.one-score games, including a 51-45 playoff loss to the Cardinals. It seemed like the Packers couldn't be trusted, but then they won six straight Lombardi Trophy games and went 15-1 the following season, and Rodgers was on his way to the Hall of Fame.
If Love gets hot, the Packers can run like that, too.Without Power in the mix, it will be harder for them to warm up.
Week 9: Lost to Minnesota Vikings 27-24
Chances of winning the Super Bowl before Week 9: 8.7%
5.4% chance to win the Super Bowl after week 9
Detroit's hold on the rest of the NFC North is increasingly shaky. After going 5-1 against the Packers and Vikings the past two years, the Lions have lost their first games against their two division brothers in 2025. And while this game was closer than the Week 1 loss to the Packers, the story of how the Vikings held off the Lions and their high-powered offense was similar.
To stop the lions, start with defense. The Vikings have discovered a column in their defensive machine, and I have to rely on what they have accomplished when making decisions. His best mana Sunday of the year ended the sack and two matches for the loss of the girls and took off the jahmir crest.
Gibbs and David Montgomery with just 65 yards on 20 carries lead the Vikings, with only 25 percent of their carries producing effective guys according to the next NFL model. There was not much profit - both were done with minus-5 ryo only, it was suggested to recommend them. But his longest was also 11 yards, and ended with Montgomery running the ball against the Vikings.
Hargrave is good, but it's a team effort. The British of Minnesota - including Fabia Moreau, who just played before Sunday - did a good job outside of Gibbs and Montgomery inside. The outside linebackers, including the return of Andrew Van Ginkel, didn't push to make the sides easy.Jalen Redmond played a season-high 92% of thin defense as part of the defensive end.
The average lions come with the regular time 2.1 before the start of the meeting. The only game where they had a little room to work with, uncontrolled, was that week's matchup with parers.
Running out of the equation forces Jared.Goff had to give up a drop-back ball. And like Daniel Jones, that's not where he wants to be. In the past, the Lions were able to pick apart the Vikings and their exotic blitz looks by getting the ball away from dynamic players.and use movement to create conflictDetroit goes back to the Patriots' days in the mid-nineties to pull defenses, using wide receivers on the move to protect Goff and create big-play opportunities down the field.
You can think of money to destroy the criminals who caused the internal alignment of Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, especially after Detroit put Frank Rugy.Whether it's an extra few days of preparation after last night's vikirsday night last week or the recovery of Van Guncel's defense. It started to close five times, and those four bags filled the initial pressure of the folds or folds of the dog.
Minnesota's running backs, led by Eric Wilson, suffered from some pressure on Gibbs. The Vikings generally did a great job of controlling him while the Lions tried to run away and run quick play concepts before getting the ball.Minnesota Gopher hit 11 times and made 10 saves. In the two games for the Vikings, Goff was 29-of-35 with 29, 2 pass attempts with only one sack against the Blitz. On Sunday, he was 7-of-7-of-7-of-61 yards and in those spots for the woods.
The quarterback on the field also has something to prove.Few quarterbacks have encouraged more ideas than J.j.mcarthy, who made his third start facing eight quarters as a pro.
I'm not sure how to draw meaningful conclusions about a quarterback after two pro starts, but talk that the Vikings would realistically consider benching their 2024 first-round pick for Carson Wentz after two games was always absurd, even before Wentz went down with a season-ending shoulder injury.
McCarthy was the long-awaited third starter, giving more material to both sides. He compiled a major stat line of 143 for 25 yards for 143 yards. He was pressured by the drop of over 58%, occasionally planning to go out of pocket. It would have been great if it had worked, but McCarthy had 7 yards out of the pocket.for 1 it was half.
At the same time, however, McCarthy undoubtedly made many plays. On the opening pass, he read the blitz and quickly read the ball to senior Aaron Jones.McCarthy found Jordan Adonis Deersfield on third-and-9 on the next drive for 31 yards before hitting a 7-yard score on a boot concept by t.-yHockenson.in the red zone. With Jefferson hurt on third down, McCarthy escaped the pressure, turned back Alex Anzalone and stepped into the end zone for a 9-yard score.
Want to see MCCARTY of the Hole as the young season of the next sensational guy? He's a three-way drive against the best teams in football, then press jalen naylor to seal the tie.Want to be skeptical? The Vikings are 17 of 27, including 17 of their 27 on field goals, fakes, and blocked field goals (back later). They went 36 yards and went 26-of-26 with 15-plus EPA on the offensive side of the ball.I would like to see more games before I can form any meaningful opinion on McCARTHY.
JJ McCarthy turns right and goes downfield for a 9-yard rushing touchdown.
Lions have more pressing concerns.A few things went their way on Sunday. The Packers failed to extend their lead in the NFC North, and the Commanders, who the Lions face next week, will be without Jayden Daniels after the quarterback suffered a gruesome elbow injury in their loss to the Seahawks. But first, GM Brad Holmes has to deal with his deadline.trade and decide how much offense he wants to add to this Lions team as it tries to get over the hump in the NFC.
