Eagles ranked by position after narrow win over Packers - NBC Sports Philadelphia

Here are the Eagles' grades by position after their game against the Packers on Monday Night Football.

I-Green Bay, i-Wis.

Their offense was sluggish for most of the night but Vic Fangio's defense played well for most of the game and the offense had a few stellar plays when it mattered.

The Eagles are now 7 and head home to face the Lions on Sunday Week 11.

Here are the Eagles rankings by position:

Jahed Jane is injured (15/26, 183 points, 1 td;27 points, 1 Fumble

The Eagles offense was able to score what ended up being the game-winning goal after two quick plays, showing how explosive they can be.But they weren't for many nights. After the game, Hurts gave credit to the Packers and said it was the toughest defense the Eagles have faced all season. And that may be true, but the offense was stuck in the mud for most of the game and Hurts wasn't as sharp as he was in the two games before the break.Even some of his completed passes were not good.Edgerrin Cooper made a great free throw play, but it proved costly on the first play of the game that appeared to stop the Eagles' momentum.

Saquon Barkley: 22 carries, 60 yards;3 catches, 41 yards

With Barkley held for most of the checks on the evening, the 41-yard catch and run was one of the keys to the game. His move to get around defenders was to highlight highlighted items. When Barkley's numbers weren't good, it felt more like a lackluster offensive attack than Barkley's individual struggles. Will Shipley had 4 carries for 17 yards and an 11 yard stick movement catch.Tank Bigsby had 3 carries for 7 yards.

Debonda Smith: 7 Sini, 4 shost, 69 meters, 1 TD

Like Barkley, Smith came through when the Eagles needed him with a 36-yard strike over a defender for the Eagles' only touchdown of the game.Smith is 170 pounds soaking wet, but he consistently wins those 50-50 balls. He continues to have a very good season and Smith also converted on a key 3rd and 12 in the fourth quarter.4th and 6 with 33 seconds left. But Brown blocked Barkley's long catch-and-run and provided coverage that allowed Smith to get open for his touchdown.

Dallas Goedert: 4 catches on 6 targets, 43 yards

It wasn't Gidet's highest-volume game, but he was open for a 22-yard catch over the middle of the field that raised the liars fields of those circles.Goedert also drew the main DPI.Grant Calcaterra was lifting up the seam earlier in the game and it hurt him.Cameron Latu and Kyle Granson got some time as bloggers.

Credit Lane Johnson for the gutsy performance. He left the game in the first half with what appeared to be a very painful ankle injury, but somehow managed to return to the Eagles' final drive of the game. Now, the Eagles entered this game without starting center Cam Jurgens.Brett Toth replaced Jurgens and was fine except for a holding call that negated Barkley's explosive rush.Fred Johnson replaced Lane Johnson at right tackle, but he also got some snaps as an outside lineman/tight end.The Eagles didn't give up in this game and were able to minimize the damage on Micah Parsons.

Jaelan Phillips: 6 fretta, 2 successi QB, 1 TFL, 1 TFL, 1 FR

The Eagles traded a Pick-Round Pick to get Phillips from Miami and it was good for the Eagles. He started the game, played a ton of whips and threw seven pressures in 36 reps.Phillips hit the Packs on 4th-and-1 plays in the fourth quarter. But it wasn't just Phillips. The Eagles got big rushes from Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith on the edge and the inside lineman also made good plays. Jalen Carter played almost everywhere.

Nacob Dean: 7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF

The Eagles continued to split reps between Dean and Jihad Campbell, who also got some snaps.Dean's sack in the second quarter was impressive.Dean has played at a high level since returning from PUP.Zach Bown - not surprisingly - led the Eagles with 8 tackles.Josh Jacobs managed to get into the end zone, but the Eagles held him to 3.5 yards per carry attempt.Campbell was called for DPI, which set up Jacobs' rushing touchdown.

Reed Blankenship: 7 tackles, 1 FF, 1 FR

The Packers didn't have many weapons in this game;Jordan Love completed just 20 of 36 passes for 176 yards and earned a 68.8 rating.Quinyon Mitchell looked to be caught early but managed to stay on the field.Cooper DeJean was called on defense and didn't have his best game.Adoree' Jackson started at CB2 and appeared to hold on.We'll see if the Eagles stick with Jackson or continue to try other options.Blankenship had perhaps his best game of the season with 7 steals and a forced fumble.

Xavier Gipisson.2 Punt return, 31 yards, 18 yards

A little mixed on special teams.Jake Elliott made his only field goal attempt from 39 yards.Brayden Mann had an impressive 66-yard punt, but followed it up with a 31-yard punt.Xavier Gipson had a great 18-yard punt return to give the Eagles offense some room to operate.

The Eagles deserve to be congratulated because they continue to win and there is an art to it.But the offense really failed on Monday and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo was pretty inactive for much of the night.Sure, the Eagles made some self-inflicted mistakes that put them in bad situations, but sometimes you want to see the Eagles offense be a little more aggressive when they have AJ Brown and Devonta Smith on the field.Another thing about Nick Siriani's decision to ice the game in the 4th and 6th.A lot will happen in the week and this decision would have been the biggest talking point if it had come back to bite them.It was difficult to criticize Vic Fangio's defense which only gave up 7 points.
