Buccaneers WR Mike Evans will miss most of the season with a broken hip

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Mike Takens was in the break room during MARM's game against Getroits after being led by him in the loss of the game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans suffered a broken clavicle and will miss most of the 2025 season, head coach Todd Bowles announced Monday night.

"He'll be out at the end of the year," Bowlit said."We'll see what happens."

It's hardly a detailed diagnosis, but it's devastating news for Evans and the Buccaneers (5-2), despite Evans being out for the foreseeable future and possibly the rest of the season.Network insider Ian Rapoport noted that the typical return timeline from a broken collarbone is six to eight weeks, potentially leading to a December return. So while great Evans' career streak of 1,000-yard campaigns is over, he can bounce back to make the playoffs.

He took part in Monday's loss and was taken down by the Detroit Lions on Monday with what was said to be a shoulder injury that quickly set him back.He will now remember the rest of the game.

After receiving a long pass, Evans was defended by Lion Rock Yassin and fell to the ground in the game, hitting the side of his head on the turf. The impact occurred with five minutes left in the second quarter and he appeared to lose consciousness.

Evans pitched and walked, then was evaluated and benched in visible pain.

The 32-year-old was active on Monday after missing the previous three games with a groin injury. His return was limited to 13 snaps, saw him targeted four times by Mayfield sacks, but came without a catch.

The Bucs fell to 14–0 after Evans' exit.Rookie Emeka Egbuka is also active with a hamstring injury, while veteran Chris Godwin is out, dealing with a fibula injury.

A six-time Pro How Motans, who has 16 records, 16 interceptions, has 1,000 direct receptions in his first career.

It was already in danger of getting fat after three losses and now it's over, but now the big concern Buccanera is working with another one.

For BUCS, they need to bounce back from Monday's loss and the loss of Evans.

"It's never good to see one of your star players go down like that, especially with him just coming back and everybody excited to see him," Bowles said. "So, it's a blow and we've been holding down since he's been gone and we just got to regroup and come back."
