JAKARTA, Indonesia - Japan's Daiki Hashimoto topped the men's all-around at the World Gymnastics Championships on Monday.
Hashimoto, who won the gold in the 2020 Olympics and the worlds in 2022 and 2023, leading the 2024 Olympics in PARIS with 82.499.
The 24-year-old, at the highest level, posted the third-highest score to lead the 24th field on Wednesday, Hashimoto, passing a much better score on the floor.Zhang Bosheng of China, the 2021 world champion and silver medalist at the Paris Games, finished third.
Shinnosuke Oka, Hashimoto's Japanese teammate and 2024 Olympic champion, qualified 12th to advance to the final despite an error-filled floor routine.
Reigning US national champion Asher Hong did not compete after injuring his ankle during training.
