FC Cincinnati goalkeeper Roman Celentano has saved the 2025 mls mls of the year, Major League Soccer announced today.He was credited for his many amazing streak of many saves during FC CINCINANTI's game against Nashville SC in the 50th minute on March 29th.

Celentano's crown came at an unusual time for a goalkeeper.With the score tied 1-1, with just over a minute to go, Celentano saved a penalty kick, leading to a Nashville corner.On the next play, after a second ball entered the penalty area, Celentano made a one-handed save from Nashville's Alex Muil.A second attempt by Sam Surridge was once again denied by Celentano.

Celentano got seven shots on goal that night, tying his career high, as Cincinnati earned a 2-1 victory in the city.

The award is the second major league title in three seasons by winning the MLs

Celentano is the fourth goalkeeper in MLS history to win the honor multiple times, joining Stephen Fry, Casey Keller and Nick Rimando (3).
