Alexis Jensen (3-1) pitched the first four innings for the Big Red and earned the win in the circle.He allowed two runs, one earned, with five hits and seven strikeouts.Jordy Frahm pitched the final three innings, striking out all nine batters he faced and picking up his third save of the year.Frahm also recorded four strikeouts.
Hannah Camensind went 2-for-3 with a double, and Jessie Farrell added a two-run home run.Hannah Goor contributed the game winning RBI and she eventually drove in the winning run.
NiJaree Canady (4-1) took the loss.A two-time reigning National Pitcher of the Year, he allowed three runs in 4.2 innings.
Texas Tech scored consecutive runs in the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fourth, Comensind hit a leadoff double before H. Farrell hit a two-run homer to tie the score at 2-2. NU took a 3-2 lead when Carly Muhlbach walked, pinch runner Dakota Carter advanced to second and Coor crossed the plate on a clutch two-out single.
Frahm came on to pitch the final three innings and struck out nine batters in a row for the Huskers' victory.
They will travel to the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic to open against No. 16 South Carolina on Friday, Feb. 20. The game begins at 12 p.m. CT and will be televised by FloSports and heard on the Radio Network.
