On Saturday, the Kia Shooting Stars tournament returns after an 11-year hiatus, and the Knicks have the dogs fighting.

Brunson, Towns and Houston in the Kia Shooting Stars competition

The competition uses a two-round structure. In the first round, four teams compete one at a time, with 70 seconds to earn points by rotating through seven designated shooting locations around the course. All three teammates shoot at each spot in a fixed order. The two teams with the highest scores advance to the final round, where they repeat the process consecutively. The team with the best score wins the title.

Each team has two current players and one veteran. For the Knicks, that legend is H20!

- All-Star Team: Scotty Barnes, Chet Holmgren and Rip Hamilton.

- Team Cameron: Jalen Johnson, Kon Knueppel and Corey Maggette (Dookies)

- The Harper Team: Dylan Harper, Ron Harper Jr. and Ron Harper Sr. (Family Affair)

- Team Knicks: Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, ug Allen Houston

Brunson is in the top 11 in the Eastern Conference for the second year in a row. This will be Towns' sixth All-Star appearance, a World Team reserve and one of the best shooting big men in the league.

And Houston, she's the silky type? The former Knick made the All-Star team twice in his 12-year career and won the Shooting Stars event in 2012, along with Landry Fields (Knicks) and Cappie Pondexter (New York Liberty). These days, he serves as the Knicks' vice president of player management and development.

The Shooting Stars event originally ran from 2004 to 2015 and often featured a WNBA player from each team in front of the box.For some of us older men, seeing Houston shoot again would be the highlight of the weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, NBA All-Star Saturday Night, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. The announcement will begin at 5:00 p.m.ET on NBC and Peacock.Tipoff is around 5:30 p.m.ET, state farm immediately after the 3-point contest.
