New England Patriots head coach Mike Werbel was asked again about Drake May's shoulder after missing Friday's practice.
As the New England Patriots prepare for Super Bowl LX, Drake May's shoulder has become a hot topic.
The Patriots cited illness and a right shoulder injury when Maye left practice on Friday. They listed him as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks on Friday's injury report.
Vrabel told reporters Friday that Maye would have practiced if not for the illness. The head coach reiterated this stance in an interview Monday with WEEI on Super Bowl Radio Row.
"I think I tried to communicate this as clearly as I could last week. If he was going to practice, he would have arrived on Friday," said Vrabel."He couldn't practice because of his illness. Again, we'll work on these things throughout the week, like everyone else.
Vrabel downplayed any concerns about Maye's shoulder Thursday. The MVP finalist was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday.
