Michael Jordan's streak ended Sunday when driver Tyler Reddick earned his third straight NASCAR win to start the season.

NASCAR star Tyler Reddick made history Sunday with his third straight victory to open the 2026 season at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Reddick is the first driver to win three consecutive races to start the season.He held off Shane van Gisbergen for the final 20 laps to seal the win.Reddick won at Daytona earlier in the year and scored a win last week in Atlanta.

"It's a run, but it was very important," Reddick said."It feels so right to win three in a row and make history."

Michael Jordan's 23XI Racing team entered the year with some momentum after settling a federal antitrust lawsuit with NASCAR.The settlement was seen as a major legal victory that helped secure a franchise model and ensure the team would remain in business for the long term.

"I'm proud of the team we've put together," Jordan said, crediting co-owner Denny Hamlin as the "mastermind" behind the racing success.

"I just put the money in. Denny has done a great job building this team."

Jordan said he plans to stay in Phoenix next week to see if Reddick can go 4-on-4.

Reddick's clutch performance earned him his 11th career win and his second at Circuit of the Americas, which was built exclusively for F1.

"You see SVG come back and you get a little nervous, but I thought he was busy all day long," Jordan said.
