Minnesota Latest News

"I think Max is as good as any young player I've been around."

This place is awarded to head coach Kevin O'Connell. Its origin?Super-organized team activities in the summer. But Max Brosmer doesn't look like a typical UDFA.

The 24-year-old impressed so far that he felt enough confidence in the coach.

Far more unexpected than his presence, his passing and his understanding of the offense are good enough to start his NFL season among the best seasons of the year.

Brosmer entered the year as the QB3, but when JJ McCarthy sprained his ankle in Week 2. He served as Carson Wentz's backup for several games, and when Wentz was placed on injured reserve after Thursday Night Football in Los Angeles and McCarthy rejoined the team for Week 9, Brosmer kept his No. 1 spot.2 on the depth chart. He has been living in a "distant world" for some time. And if McCarthy doesn't clear the concussion protocol, Brosmer will start in Seattle.

So, who is this unknown newcomer? What has he shown since the team put together the post-Team draft?

Lewis wrote:

Minnesota could have added a veteran backup at the trade deadline. Current Atlanta Falcons starter Kirk Cousins was a candidate. He told his confidants that serving as McCarthy's assistant was fine for him. However, they decided to go with a young QB in the room. It was an acknowledgment that the decision makers were eager to see what McCarthy was capable of this season. It was also a window into their belief thatBrozmer has the ability to cope with the stresses that come with being close.

A graduate of FCS New Hampshire, Brosmer played one year in Division I BACK TO BACK REALLY, CAN'T BE TOO MUCH, In more than 13 games to complete a single-season record 268 passes at a 66.5 percent clip and 187.2 rating.

Lewis shared that East-West Shrine Bowl director of football operations Eric Galko has been on the table for Brosmer for some time: "I'm staying with her," Galko said in August.

Brosmer has surpassed 8,400 yards this season, and he has 20 carries, 54 yards (60.3%) and two touchdowns.Brewster said that, according to the adjustment conversation, perhaps most importantly, the ball quickly produced two costs. His average is 2.58 seconds because of his average time.

That quick release contrasts with McCarran's 3.09 TTT regular season, which deserves some attention, but the defense's postseason performance.

"Big Ticket" by Canton

Kevin Williams, affectionately known as "Big Ticket," a football-sized nickname derived from NBA player Kevin Garnett, spent 11 seasons (2003-2013) in purple and was named a first-team All-Pro five times, including four consecutive seasons from 2006-2009. Selected ninth overall in the 2003 draft out of Oklahoma State. After that, he appeared in 171 games and recorded 465 tackles (104 for loss), 60 sacks and seven forced fumbles. Williams also had 13 catches, two TDs, and assisted on two of his five INTs.

Williams played one season each for Seattle and New Orleans in the twilight of his career.Among his accomplishments, he made six Pro Bowls and was named to the NFL's All-Decade Team in the 2000s.

As of Tuesday morning, Williams was one step closer to earning his ticket to football immortality.

The 45-year-old is one of 26 Fook inductees in the 2026 class of fame. It's a big deal for Williams - and a good one ever.He retired 10 years ago and is continuing this role for the first time.

Williams is one of the eight defensive players to enshrinment in their first year, along with the lions during one of the beginnings in the mid-80's and played 18 NFL seasons.

Other defenders are DB Rodney Harrison (5-time semifinalist), DB Earl Thomas (2), DB Darren Woodson (10), LB Luke Kuechly (2), LB Terrell Suggs (2), DL Robert Mathis (5) and DL Vince Wilforks (2).Kuechly automatically qualified for the semifinals in 2026 because he finished in the top 7 in last year's election.

The semifinalists who last played in 2020 and are newly eligible are QB Drew Brees, QB Philip Rivers, WR Larry Fitzgerald (Minneapolis native and former ball boy), RB Frank Gore and TE Jason Witten.

It reinforces Williams's case for brass knuckles and gold jackets.

- His four return TDs are tied with HOFer Bob Lilly for most by a TD.

- His five interceptions are tied with Charlie Johnson, Dan Wilkinson and Haloti nata for all-time DT;Williams' 63 sacks led all big men with 8.5

- Williams is one of only five players in history to earn at least five first-team honors and four-year status but not the hall of fame;Other good ones, Del Shofner (1960s All-decade), Grover Emerson (1930s All-Decade) and Laverne Dillweg (1920s All-decade).

- One of only two teams to be ranked No. 1 defensively in three consecutive seasons from 2006-08 (along with Lilly's 1967-69 Dallas Cowboys)
