The Atlanta Falcons are recruiting sophomore Michael Penix Jr.Michael Penix, as he lost to the Carolina Panthers, on Sunday, because of the win, Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelicero.
Michael Phoenix Jr.'s second season in Atlanta is in jeopardy.
The Falcons are placing Penix on injured reserve because of a knee injury he suffered in Sunday's 30-27 overtime loss to the Carolina Panthers, network insiders Jan Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Monday.
According to Rapoport and Pelissero, Penix aggravated bone bruises and a knee sprain from earlier in the season on Sunday.Penix suffered a minor ACL injury in his left knee, which RapoPort and Pelissero may need to completely rebuild.
"Due to the injury, we are working through the medical process to determine the severity of the injury. He will be placed on the reserve/injured list and will miss at least four games."
Penix left Sunday's game after taking a shot in the third quarter.He walked off the field before heading to the locker room.The QB was listed as questionable but did not return.Atlanta had a 21-16 lead when Penix left.
"When a bad guy goes down, it makes your heart glow," Buckeye head coach Relischi told reporters on the team's official website.
Falcons receiver Drake London is out at least a week after suffering a sprained PCL on the final play of regulation Sunday and was ruled out in overtime, according to Rapaport, who said London could miss more time beyond Week 12.
Morris told reporters that London would be "week-to-week" because of his knee injury.
The streak is new for the 3-7 Falcons, who have snapped a five-game losing streak.
If Pexix has been finished, it's up to 60.1% of his legs for 1.982 pairs to start.
