The Packers are viewed as the top scorers in the NFL power rankings entering the playoffs
After season-ending injuries to Tucker Kraft, Devonte Wyatt and Micah Parsons and a four-game losing streak to end the regular season, the Green Bay Packers are widely (and rightfully so) considered a long shot among the 14 teams left for the playoffs. The National NFL Power Rankings Review does not have the Packers ranked higher than 10. The Packers are No. 7 in the NFC and have not won since Dec. 7.
Can Matt LaFleur's team shake off the past month and go on a run Saturday night in Chicago?
Here's where the Packers rank in the NFL power rankings entering the postseason:
Playoff seed: 12th
From Nate Davis: "Absent from the Super Sunday stage since Rodgers took last, the Pack enter the postseason as the No. 7 seed — meaning, like the Chargers, they'll have to act as road warriors to take the conference's top seed if they continue to advance — for the third straight year under current QB1 Jordan Love. And when he fell two years ago in a good run to the NFC Championship Game, this edition2024 looks like a team headed into the postseason, which is much more difficult than DE Micah Parsons, possibly the missing piece that will bring another title to Titletown — and he still can, but obviously won't be this season after tearing his ACL in Dec. 16, 420.
Playoff Ranking: # 13
From Eric Edholm: "The Packers can be happy in that they beat the Bears once, have to beat Chicago a second time and now have a chance to make up for the missed opportunity. sit down. If he and his receivers can connect on a few vertical throws, Green Bay will have a chance to finish what they started at Soldier Field a few weeks ago. Without Micah Parsons or Tucker Kraft, the Packers won't win a Super Bowl this season, but they will get through.
Playoff Stage: None.
From The Athletic: "The Packers come into the postseason on the back of four straight losses, and their head coach is under pressure despite a 76-40-1 record in seven seasons. Jim Harbaugh and Sean McDermott are the only active coaches with higher winning percentages, but if the Green Bay Bears play, there will be questions about LA's future."
Playoff classification: Nha.12
From Ralph Vacchiano: "They actually took the day off and played the bottom of their roster against the Vikings. It's four straight losses to end the season, and Matt LaFleur could be in for his coaching job next week."
Competition result: no.12
From Pete Prisco: "The injury bug led to a four-game losing streak that ended the season. But when Jordan Love is healthy, they'll be a playoff threat."
Playoff ranking: #10
Diante Lee: "Just because they can win the playoffs doesn't mean I trust them."
Qualifying standings: No. 12
Frank Schwab wrote: "If anyone said after Week 2 that the Packers would finish with less than 10 wins, it would have been unbelievable. After Green Bay's hot start, tight end Rasheed Walker said he thought the team might go undefeated. The announcement was laughable, but not surprising. It looks like he won't be able to lead a long playoff run.
