Angels Joe Adell acrobatically steals three home runs shocks Mariners MLB Guardian

Adel stole the house from Cal Riley, Josh Naylor and JP Crawford to ensure that Zach Nieto became the party's only career.

Joe Adel, an outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels, is known for his powerful bat. But he was in great form for a long time in the middle of a three-game series with the visiting Seattle Mariners.

Adell hit three home runs in one game on Saturday and will look to help the Angels win the series when they close out the series against the Mariners on Sunday in Anaheim, California.Zach Neto hit his career-leading 10th homer in the only game, but Saturday night was the "Jo Show" where right field was criticized at times for defensive failures in one of the all-time great outfielders.

Adell stole Cal Raleigh in the first, Josh Naylor in the eighth and JP Crawford in the ninth with brilliant catches as the Angels earned just their second win in the last seven games.

“After the first, the second was more or less the same, I didn’t know if I had déjà vu,” said Adell."Sometimes you have to help on the other side of the ball and I'm glad I did my part."

A third steal prevented Seattle from tying the ninth.Crawford hit back at Jordan Romano, who intended to land in the right seat.

Instead, Adell landed on a chair as he took a big leap to catch the ball and it fell over the short wall. His glove appeared and he stood in the stands and showed that he had caught the ball.

"He disappears and comes in with his glove up," Angels manager Kurt Suzuki said.

Dan Wilson made 14 appearances in the majors (1992-2005) and was shocked by what he saw.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen three guys in a baseball game before,” Wilson said.“It’s disappointing when you hit the ball well and drive like our guys do and then end up with nothing to show for it.”

Adell's steal in Raleigh kept last season's American League MVP runner-up homebound for nine games. He reached 60 years old last season.

“You just opened the lid,” Raleigh said."I don't think I've ever seen a guy steal two home runs in a game, much less three. So it's one of those things where baseball can surprise you night after night. You might see something you've never seen before."
